Vietcong 1.01 Installation

Vietcong 1.01 Patch and NOCD Vietcong.exe
Install the Patch After Installing Vietcong, Copy the Vietcong.exe into your Directory after renaming your current one to something else by rightclicking and "rename"

Slate will have to help ya, I never done a 1.01 with 1.6 when both are proper installs.
I have a direct folder copy of 1.6 (no registry files made), whic hi can use, so I install 1.01 as normal and use both.

ok. you need to listen.

You have 1.60. you find your 1.60 folder and shortcuts, drag into the recycling bin (DO NOT EMPTY OR TAKE OUT STUFF FROM RECYCLING BIN)

then you install 1.01. (i think you might have to uninstall vietcong first, but make sure you 1.60 is safe in the recycling bin)

once 1.01 is done. you simply drag out your 1.60 stuff. and you should have both 1.01 and 1.60. its easier to get them both cracked. saves time.

So what he is saying, your removing all registry entries for the game by uninstalling (when vietcong is in the recycling bin)
Therefor when the installer runs again, it does not see vietcong and ask you to play, but to install again, which is your 1.01 version.
Afterwards your 1.6 in the recyclling bin can be brought back into your games folder without compromising the 1.01

yeah. pretty much.

everything for 1.60 in the bin.

then just install normal vietcong. no fist alpha. and when its done. just take it all out.
